Release detailsRemember the thought—and what you had open.
ResumePoint keeps three handwritten context cues and the resources that matter in one checkpoint.

Capture the mental checkpoint
Write what you finished, what comes next, and what is still open. Every field is optional, so saving takes seconds.
Bring the workspace with it
Save the apps, browser tabs, Xcode workspace, and files you explicitly choose for this task.
Resume with one click
See the next step first, then decide when to restore. ResumePoint never steals focus on its own.
Lightweight, but more than a note.
Native and always within reach
Use the menu bar or global shortcuts to save, restore, or pause without changing windows.
Restore the resources that matter
Works with Chrome, Safari, Xcode, standard macOS apps, and files you choose yourself.
Keep a local checkpoint history
Review, edit, pin, archive, or delete recent checkpoints. Everything stays on this Mac.
A safety net for sudden breaks
Sleep, screen sleep, session changes, or idle time can create a draft without inventing any context.
Your checkpoints stay on this Mac.
ResumePoint has no account, analytics SDK, or cloud sync. It stores only the metadata needed to restore your workspace and the context you write yourself.
Requirements and permissions
macOS 14 or later
A native menu bar app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Older macOS versions are not supported.
Automation only when it is useful
Used to find browser tabs and Xcode workspaces. Capture can be disabled for each browser.
No Accessibility or Screen Recording
Global shortcuts and the core restore flow do not rely on either sensitive permission.
Safari cannot reliably identify Private Browsing windows. An active Safari private tab may therefore be saved. ResumePoint explains this before Safari capture is enabled and lets you disable Safari capture independently at any time.
